Hydrafacial or Hydropeeling is one of those facial treatments that give your face a wow radiance. This radiance lasts for a few days, 10 at most. But if done continuously, Hydrafacial can be an amazing anti-aging procedure. It is also one of the most popular facial treatments for brides-to-be and celebrities.
Hydrafacial skin treatment is basically an advanced non-laser form of skin resurfacing. I had a chat with Lola Ali Muhammad – Medical Aesthetician and skin care specialist in Dubai, about this latest beauty secret.
According to Lola, she uses an Innofacial machine to deliver the Hydrafacial treatment. The procedure leaves the skin radiant and well hydrated. It also resolves skin issues like hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, and fine lines, acne and enlarged pores.
How Hydrafacial Works
Hydrafacial uses a process called hydradermabrasion to cleanse, exfoliate, extract, hydrate and give antioxidant protection. “This treatment is designed to especially cleanse the skin, exfoliate then extract impurities. As a result, the skin absorbs the infused replenishing nutrients and antioxidants,” explains Lola. Check out Microdermabrasion, which also leaves your skin glowing glow.
The machine that delivers the Hydrafacial treatment has a distinctive tip that is designed to remove impurities while introducing replenishing nutrients. “The treatment is suitable for all skin types. This is because it doesn’t irritate the skin,” she notes adding that Hydrafacial can also be modified to suit different purposes.
But isn’t Hydrafacial treatment painful? “Not at all. The treatment is soothing and gentle to the skin without any downtime,” states Lola. When it comes to how much time you will spend on her table; not long. “Hydrafacial is a lunch-hour procedure that you can have in less than one hour depending on your treatment plan. And immediately after your treatment, you can get back to whatever it is you were doing. In addition, you will have a radiant and fresh face.”
Results of Hydrafacial
If you are wondering how long it will take to see results, Lola says immediately. “You will be able to notice a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, moisturized, smooth, and radiant skin.” She adds that depending on what you want to achieve, you might require several sessions. “The number of Hydrafacial sessions can only be advised during consultation.”
The Hydrafacial treatment done with the Innofacial machine is made up of three different solutions with different purposes each.
Exfoliating solution: Consists of Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA). This dislodges dead skin cells.
Clarifying solution: Consists of salicylic acid (BHA). Also used in dislodging impurities and targets the T-zone area and oily skin.
Skin moisturizing and conditioning solution: Has high concentrations of hydro essence. This provides the skin with nutrition and moisture.
After my intense conversation with Lola, I decided that Hydrafacial or Hydropeeling will be my next facial treatment. I won’t mind glowing for a while! See also Microneedling, another beauty secret you should try.
