I was today years old when I found out that there are different types of dates. When I buy a box of dates, I never ask which type it is, as long as it’s a date. Anyway, moving on from my ignorance, did you know that dates are not only ingrained in Emirati culture, but they are the national fruit of the UAE? These natural treats are also a staple item in most Middle Eastern households.
