I have had more posts on beauty and turning back time than on any other subject. And Biorevitalization skin treatment is another impressive anti-aging beauty secret you should know about. You see, sometimes aging or premature aging of the skin needs a little bit more than just topical creams and gels. This is because these skin issues need to be tackled from the inside. And if you are not in the mood to drink the Skinade Collagen Drink – that beauty secret in a drink, then you can choose Biorevitalization skin treatment.
Although there are quite a number of skin treatments that can slow down the aging process or reduce the visibility of wrinkles and fine lines, most of which I’ve shared with you, Biorevitalization is a sort of a different kind of fish. This skin treatment is more than just an anti-aging skin treatment. Not only does it leave the skin looking youthful, but it also gives it a silky, radiant and supple look. Something I’m sure you might need for the festivities. But don’t worry because I have the perfect festive peel in store for you.
I sought out my trusted skincare specialist and Medical Aesthetician Lola Ali Muhammad to share more about Biorevitalization skin treatment. It might not be a new treatment in the market, but its hype keeps growing by the day.

What is Biorevitalization Skin Treatment?
According to Lola, Biorevitalization is a non-surgical anti-aging skin treatment that is used to turn back the clock on one’s skin. “It also treats many other aesthetic skin issues and the technique involves the use of unmodified non-animal hyaluronic acid in very small doses.” She also notes that the injections are targeted and injected into the dermal layer of the skin.
For those who don’t have a clue about Hyaluronic acid, it is a complex organic compound produced naturally by our bodies. It is also known as the “fountain of youth” meaning the more you have it in your body, the more youthful you look. Unfortunately, as we age, it begins to diminish, hence the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. And the reason why we need more of it from outside sources.
“The purpose of hyaluronic acid is to naturally stimulate skin cells which in turn triggers collagen production. It is also responsible for a number of things in the body including skin elasticity, hydration, and tightness,” explains Lola. Just in case you didn’t know, hyaluronic acid is also used in dermal fillers for volume restoration of the face and lips among others.
Biorevitalization on turning Back Time
After injecting hyaluronic acid into the dermal layer of the skin, states Lola, the stimulation of collagen begins. “This is followed by skin hydration and slowing down of cell fragmentation.” These targeted injections aka Biorevitalization skin treatment, also slow down the degradation of the body’s own hyaluronic acid. This restores skin elasticity and moisture, hence a huge reduction of pre-existing wrinkles and fine lines. As a result, it is one of the best treatments when it comes to turning back time.

Lunch-hour Procedure?
Depending on how serious your aesthetic skin issues are, Biorevitalization skin treatment can last anywhere from 30 minutes to one hour. In other words, you only need to spend that much time with Lola before you are on your way. And yes, the treatment can be categorized as a lunch-hour procedure. You can go about your activities afterward.
Still, before the administration of the Biorevitalization skin treatment, topical anesthesia is used. After all, we are talking about injections here. But then again, it all depends on your pain threshold. Still, I would insist on the topical anesthesia. Afterward, for some people there can be visible redness which can last for a couple of hours.
Sessions Required for Lasting Results
Normally the sessions can range anywhere from 2 to 4, which have to be repeated every 3-4 weeks. The results can also last up to 6 to 12 months depending on your lifestyle considering most skin aging is caused by exposure to UV rays.
