Once upon a time, there was a married couple who traveled from Dubai to Bologna, Italy, to attend a trade show. One night they returned to their hotel after a very long day, and lo and behold, all the restaurants were closed. So while trying to figure out where they could possibly have a bite, they met one of the nice chefs in the said hotel and after a long chat, they told him about their impediment. Due to the kindness of his heart, the nice chef agreed to re-open his kitchen and prepare for them a local dish, Tortellini, which they absolutely fell in love with. Not long after that night, Tortellini, the Italian restaurant in Dubai was born.

Tortellini, the New Italian Restaurant in Dubai
Located in Blue Bay Tower – Business Bay, this Italian restaurant in Dubai has been inspired by the streets of Bologna, which is said to be the gastronomical capital of Italy. This alone gives you a faint idea of how the overall restaurant looks like. The interiors of Tortellini will leave most of you fascinated by the attention to detail, and this is right before you get your hands on the extensive menu which will, also, leave you spoiled for choice as you browse through the traditional Italian appetizers, pasta, authentic pizza, selections of meat, seafood and much more.

Tortellini
Tortellini, the dish and not the Italian restaurant, for those who don’t know yet, is a traditional ring-shaped pasta that originates from Bologna (Italy not Dubai). It is usually filled with meat, but cheese exceptions can also be made, with spices and herbs. And is often served in broth, slightly like little dumplings. On occasions it can also be prepared with cream and butter, tomato sauce or even with pesto sauce (just don’t go overboard; or better yet, feel free to).
I wouldn’t want to spoil it for you before you visit this Italian restaurant in Dubai, so I’ll leave it there for now, and you can find out the rest for yourself. Maybe you’ll meet me there; you never know. Tortellini is open daily from 11:00 AM – 01:00 AM. Buon Appetito!
