Small Tweaks That Will Refresh Your Beauty Routine in an Instant

Beauty Routine: Small Tweaks That Will Instantly Refresh Your ChecklistFor the sake of your skin, it’s always a good idea to have a certain beauty routine in place. But after going at it for a while, it can get tiring and boring, short of your skin screaming that it’s bored of the current beauty routine. That’s why after some time you’ll need to add a little oomph back to your skin. And right on cue, the lovely Izanne Fagan from Tips & Toes is sharing with us (you) some top tips on how you can refresh your beauty routine in an instant.

Beauty Routine Refresher Tips

Wear Sunscreen

Protecting yourself from sun damage will make you feel better now and later. Wear at least SPF 15 every day (higher if you’re spending time in the strong sun or living on this side of the Sahara) to help prevent skin cancer, wrinkles, and sunburn.

Massage in Your Moisturiser

When we say massage, we mean massage. Rather than dabbing on your face cream, use gentle pressure, massaging it into your skin in a circular motion. This simple trick will kick your circulation into high gear – plus it feels so good!

Eat Chocolate – yes, Seriously!

Beauty Routine: Small Tweaks That Will Instantly Refresh Your ChecklistWe know, we know – everyone always says chocolate causes acne. But there’s no scientific proof on that front. So as far as we’re concerned, eat up! Dark chocolate is full of antioxidants that help protect your skin and eating a small piece will send all sorts of satisfied, happy feelings to your brain.

Get Hydrated

Drinking six to eight glasses of water a day is beyond important for your skin—hydration starts from the inside out.

Exercise

Another reason to take that extra gym class; a good workout doesn’t just burn calories; it also helps deliver oxygen and nutrients to your skin.

Exfoliate/Scrub

If your complexion is looking a little dull, chances are it needs a little scrub-down. Use a gentle face exfoliator/scrub to remove dead skin cells; your skin will glow after. Do not exfoliate if you have acne or a bad break out and keep exfoliation to twice a week to avoid irritation.
