Home Remedies for Dark Circles you Might Find UsefulPanda eyes; what we wouldn’t do to get rid of them. Yes, dark circles are annoying. In addition to making you look more tired than you already are, they make you look way older. There are some cosmetic skin treatments and procedures for dark circles, but let’s be honest, not everyone is game for that (I mean these procedures can be expensive) not to mention there are folks who’ve sworn off any type of cosmetic treatment. So, if you fall in one or both of these categories or any other category for that matter, I have something special for you – easy home remedies for dark circles.

It’s a given that home remedies for anything don’t usually work as fast as skin treatments, but then again patience pays. You just have to be consistent and you might be surprised by what you see. Depending on what caused your panda eyes (which you should establish before resorting to any form of treatment – home or otherwise), there are several ways you can get rid of them from the comfort of your own space.

Home Remedies for Dark Circles

Lemon Juice

Home Remedies for Dark Circles you Might Find UsefulIt might be a bit aggressive for the skin, but if used carefully you might reap some benefits. Lemon juice, due to the vitamin C present, has some skin-lightening properties for the skin. Simply squeeze half a lemon, soak a ball of cotton, then dab lightly on the dark circles. Be careful and keep a safe distance from your eyes, because we all know what happens when a tiny bit of lemon gets in the eyes. Leave the juice on the skin for 10 minutes then rinse with lukewarm water.

Potatoes

Potatoes are known to be natural skin lightening agents, which can be handy when it comes to home remedies for dark circles. Simply grate one potato to extract the liquid then dab it directly on the dark circles using a cotton ball. Leave it on for at least 15 minutes then rinse.

Tomato juice

Crush a ripe tomato, then apply to the dark circles. Wait for about 15 minutes then rinse with plain water. You can repeat the procedure on a daily basis until you see results.

Natural Yogurt

Natural yogurt is one of the best home remedies for dark circles because it contains azelaic acid that works by fighting pigmentation by enhancing the faster turnover of new skin cells. But you should take caution if you have any form of active acne to avoid further irritation.

Yeast

Good old yeast happens to be rich in a number of minerals one of them being selenium, which works wonders when it comes to repairing damaged skin cells (in this case pigmentation). Make a thick paste by mixing yeast with water. Apply it to the pigmented area then rinse after 10 minutes.

There are more home remedies for dark circles but as usual, you have to remember that we all have different skin types, and what works for one person might not work for the next.  Also, it’s quite important to know the cause before finding a cure. And to avoid any adverse reactions, do a patch test first before going all in.
