In fact, you can eat your way to it by simply raiding your kitchen. You’ll be surprised to know that some of the foods in your pantry hold the key to you achieving and maintaining a smooth, young, healthy and glowing skin.

To get a beautiful skin tone, you’ll need a well-rounded diet that has lots of fruits and vegetables, healthy fats and sufficient proteins. The natural ingredients in food also help in protecting the skin from free radicles that end up causing premature aging. This is why I ended up doing a mini research on certain foods and how they help with skin beauty.

They are also full of ellagic acid which protects these elastic fibers that keep the skin from sagging and causing wrinkles and fine line (but hey, what’s Botox for?).

Apples

They do this with the help of Quercetin, which is an antioxidant contained in its peels. That should make you think twice before peeling that apple. But then again, this does not mean that you shouldn’t wear your sunscreen, you still should for as long as you plan on leaving the comforts of your home.

Eggs

This should make you love eating that egg for breakfast or as a mid-morning snack even more.

Beautiful skin is just a kitchen away or the grocery store, or maybe you can look further towards collagen shots which have become the holy grail in anti-aging and skincare. But at the end of the day, for most of us, our skin health and beauty comes down to genetics and lifestyle choices.
