Essentiel Autumn & Winter 2016 Collection has finally launched for the first time in the UAE. And it will be available in Essentiel stores across Dubai.

The emphasis in the Essentiel Autumn & Winter 2016 collection is on new shapes and styles, with color combinations and contemporary details that derive their inspiration from military uniforms. This is the first collection contributed by Didier Van Den Bosch, recently appointed Senior Designer for Essentiel Menswear. His design expertise has produced a myriad of prints, colors and fabrics.

A long-established and successful brand originating in Antwerp, Belgium, Essential’s universe embodies a blend of colors, prints and embroidery, creating an outspoken style that can be combined with a sharp suit, or just as easily worn nonchalantly with a pair of casual trousers.

Colors & Prints

The Essentiel Autumn & Winter 2016 Collection features a warm, rich palette of colors, extending from wine red, dragonfly green and petrol to caramel, in combination with deep purples, light emeralds and mahogany. This sumptuous array of colors is complemented by classics such as navy, black and various shades of grey.

Graphic prints hint at a camouflage style reminiscent of the Dutch graphic artist M.C. Esher, in which every shape dovetails its neighbor. Botanical inspirations in the collection are expressed in modest two-tone floral patterns and oriental floral prints, including embroidered sweaters with bonsai patterns.

Shapes & Qualities

The male silhouette will undergo a transformation into a more relaxed look in the Essentiel Autumn & Winter 2016 Collection. Loose-fitting knitted sweaters, slacks with a wider leg and dropped shoulder coats will dominate the look on the street. These items are combined with basics for a modern, low-key and relaxed look.

The materials for this Essentiel collection’s suits and slacks were engineered in Italy and give the collection a contemporary twist. Tweed woven into geometric patterns, wool featuring pinstripes, velvet and washed twill all combine to create a casual look. Wintry knitwear is executed in a wide variety of materials, stitches and patterns, comprising of basic knits made from a cashmere blend, while the patterned sweaters combine wool and fluffy mohair. Business shirts in washed cotton and more casual print shirts in flowing fabrics complement the look.

From now on, there is no reason for the Essentiel man to go without accessories to complement their look, with an entire series of men’s shoes and belts designed in-house this season. Sporty slip-on sneakers exude a vintage look with leather and pony hair finishes, with the final touch provided by socks to mix & match with any outfit, military-inspired pins and gunmetal key rings.
