Les Mills Tone
The body-toning workout class has been created from the foundations of the Les Mills Bodyvive 3.1 class and maintains the original 3 in 1 training style – a mix of cardio, resistance, and core.
These include a challenging mix of lunges, squats, tubing exercises, and functional training, which combined, help burn those stubborn calories in addition to building strength. Like every Les Mills class, Tone is set to the backdrop of an upbeat playlist that changes on a regular basis to ensure no one gets bored.
Jelena Krneta – Fitness First Senior Group Exercise Instructor, answers a few questions about Tone and how you can enjoy the class no matter what your fitness level is.

Can the body-toning workout class help with injury rehabilitation?
Jelena: Even though we provide options during the workout, some exercises might be challenging for specific injuries (e.g. severe knee problems that can be intimidated further with squatting as one of the present exercises). However, once the instructor is aware of the injury they can advise a member accordingly on how he/she should proceed further with Tone classes.
Can the class be considered a cardio workout?
Jelena: Cardio is one of the main focuses of the Tone class and it helps you to start burning calories and prepare for the resistance and core portions of the class.
What results can you expect to see after a Tone class?
Jelena: The results you get depend on how hard you push yourself – you can absolutely work up a sweat when you’re ready. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced member, Tone will help you to improve muscle tone in general and support fat burn. The optimal combination of cardio and strength boosts metabolism activating both slow and fast muscle fibers, hence giving you an opportunity to build up lean-looking muscles rather than bulking up.
